Designed to transfer rolling stock from one track to another. It is used on tracks of 1st and 2nd class railway lines with mixed freight and passenger train traffic and the speed limit of passenger trains on a straight track up to 140 km/h. The switch uses: flexible points with welded rail ends and elastic clamps for frame rails. The crosspiece is a welded structure - the rail end is welded to a core made of high-manganese steel. The counter rail is not connected to the track rail. All linings have high flanges. The blades and frame rails are hardened with high-frequency heat.
