Designed to transfer rolling stock from one track to another. Turnouts are used on tracks of 1st and 2nd class railway lines. The switch uses flexible tangent-type points with welded rail ends and elastic fastening terminals for frame rails. The crosspiece is a welded structure - the rail end is welded to a core made of high-manganese steel. The counter rail is not connected to the track rail. All linings have high flanges. The blades and frame rails are hardened with high-frequency heat.
