Designed to transfer trains from one track to another and for the passage of rolling stock in a straight or lateral direction on railway lines. Its use is especially beneficial in cramped conditions, at dead-end passenger stations. A sharp crosspiece with a cast core is connected to rail guards. The blunt cross is solid cast from high-manganese steel. Frame rails and points are hardened with high-frequency high-frequency materials.
